History of the Sheriff
The Britten Sheriff was a light aircraft developed on the Isle of Wight

but never went into production.
It was designed as a low-wing cantilever monoplane with twin tails and an engine on each wing, it was to be an all- metal construction, it was fitted with retractable tricycle undercarriage and accommodated the pilot and three passengers within a bubble canopy.
The production and marketing of the aircraft were stopped up on the death of the designer John Britten in 1977.
The prototype (registration G-FRJB ) was never completed and is preserved at the aeropark.
